OVERALL RATING

INDIVIDUAL:

The best runners will be determined by rating the top 5 scores of 8 possible races gained by each athlete:

For semi-marathons, except for the races in Valmiera and the Ventspils Adventure Park, where marathon distances can also be run;

For ~10-12 km races;

For ~5-7 km races;

All racers who finish their respective distance shall get rating points calculated using the basic factor of 1000 points. The absolute winner of each semi-marathon (marathon) race in women’s and men’s group shall get 1000 points. For all other athletes, the score will be calculated as follows: the winner’s time divided by the time of the specific runner and multiplied by the factor for the specific race. The winner of the season is going to be the athlete who scores highest by the results of his/her 5 best races.

TEAM RANKING:

1. Racers:

Teams may consist of individual racers, runner clubs and separate enterprises.

A team may consist of 4 to 8 racers with no set gender proportion.

In order for a team to take part in the team rating, it must have at least two semi-marathon racers (21.0975 km), 1 NIKE racer (~10-12 km) and 1 People’s racer (~5-7 km) take start at each stage of the race series. If there are more than 4 team members, the remaining racers may run any distance at their option. A team member may run different distances at every stage of the race series.

A racer may be registered on the roster of one team only. Changing teams during the season is NOT ALLOWED!

During the season, a team may apply new team members to the full complement. New team members must be registered in writing to info@skrienlatvija.lv no later than one week before the next upcoming stage.

2. Score

The best teams shall be determined for each distance ran within the boundaries of the race series based on the score gained by team members. The score gained by each team member shall be calculated on the basis of the athlete’s overall ranking pro rata to the winner of the respective race (in women’s and men’s group, respectively). Four best individual scores shall be taken into account and summarised at each stage.

A team’s final result shall be comprised of its best 5 races of 8 stages, i.e. the team’s 5 best results within the season.

Should the case be that two or more teams rank equally as based on the score for four best stages, the team with the highest score gained for a separate stage is going to rank higher. If these scores are similar as well, the next best score is taken into account, and so on. If teams score equally as based on the results of all five stages taken into account, the winning team shall be determined by the highest place won by its members.

3. Registration

In order to sign up for the team ranking, a team must send an application to info@skrienlatvija.lv (with the team name and motto, as well as the first names, surnames and birth dates of the team members specified therein). Additional information and details.
